Over 40 years of faithful service, transforming lives through the power of Christ's love and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
To recognize and meet the needs of all of God's people through the encouragement of personal relationships with Jesus Christ now and forever. We are committed to providing an adequate place to do God's business and to exalt His name throughout the community.
The church is based solely on the teachings, grace, and divinity of Jesus Christ. Believing the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, we have faith that the Holy Spirit of God ultimately leads the church in all its endeavors, bound by the truth and wisdom of the Gospel.
The history of Bethel Restoration Center encompasses over a quarter of a century's journey, including notable transformations and the inspired commitment of hundreds of faithful individuals.
Bishop and First Lady Gray stepped out in faith, returning to their roots in Williamsburg, Virginia from Richmond. The first service was held in Mother Rosa Gray's home with family members.
God blessed Bethel Bible Way Church to purchase land and build their first sanctuary. The congregation grew by the hundreds as souls were saved, healed, and delivered.
Led by the Holy Spirit, Bishop John N. Gray, Sr. changed the name from Bethel Bible Way Church to Bethel Restoration Center to give definition to the Ministry.
God allowed us to build a new edifice at 6205 Richmond Road with 850-900 seating capacity and accommodations for various ministries, offices, classrooms, media room, and multipurpose room.
Throughout our journey, members kept the faith as we moved from Mother Gray's home to funeral homes, shut down nightclubs, and neighboring churches for Sunday services. God continued to bless us abundantly, allowing us to witness souls being saved, healed, and delivered.
While in Richmond, Virginia, Bishop and First Lady Gray served the Lord faithfully at the Bible Way Church at 1630 Rose Avenue under the leadership of Bishop C. T. and Mother Mattie O. Hairston. This foundation prepared them for the ministry God had called them to lead.
God has done a tremendous work through the spiritual men and women of God here at Bethel Restoration Center so that His name can be exalted throughout the community. Bishop and First Lady Gray, along with their family and congregation, continue today to pray for the lost and provide an adequate place to do God's business.
Since 1981, Bethel Restoration Center has been blessed with a good and Godly history—a memorial of God's faithfulness to His people.
